Gmail trick

Posted by rom on December 22, 2005

I read this somewhere but could no longer find the source. Anyway, apologies to the original author.

An interesting Gmail trick to avert spam from mailing lists and websites is to append a
“+” to your email address when registering, e.g. myemail+apple@gmail.com. This allows email addressed to the above sent to your original “myemail@gmail.com” account. Setting up a filter will make it easier to manage spam and other unsolicited messages.

This is even easier than the .Mac aliases feature.

Cool, huh?
